About

My work focuses on the gestures that infants in their first and second year produce when communicating with a caregiver. I put a strong emphasis on the role of the object in that early communication and investigate how the social and cultural conventions of the artifacts sculpt communicative and cognitive processes in child development. The framework of my study is situated within the Vygotskian cultural-historical approach of psychological functioning.
